The Gozleme Co, Lidcombe

Gözleme: a traditional savory Turkish flatbread and pastry dish, made of hand-rolled leaves of yufka dough that are lightly brushed with butter and eggs, filled with various toppings, sealed, and cooked over a griddle.
MMMM does that sound delicious or what! I always notice these in the display windows at Kebab shops alongside the pides and have never actually picked one up. When my sister told me we were going to try out a place called The Gozleme Co I was really excited for all the possibilities of which kinds we could order.
There is a shop in the Lidcombe Shopping Centre food court which is absolutely perfect for us as my sister works in the area. It stands out a lot with it's extremely pretty shop decor and set up.
I've also tried the sweet Nutella rush dessert gozleme which was fine (sorry I have no pictures). It wasn't anything special but it was still good. Should've tried the banana and honey gozleme for something unique. Just a tip, if you're able to finish these in 1 sitting then do it because it's best freshly made and eaten rather than reheated!
All in all, a good experience and I think it would make a great lunch option. I'll hold out on the BBQ chicken gozleme but I really enjoyed the beef one. If you guys have any recommendations or have also been to The Gozleme Co, I'd love to hear about it xx

The menu board is just above the counter and it's extremely clear and easy to read.
My sister had a voucher from Scoopon which lets us grab a bottle of water and any choice of sweet or savoury gozleme for $6. Such a bargain! The normal prices are no more than $10 and they all come in their own box, freshly made with a generous amount of lemon wedges so I say it's very good value.
The service is very nice and friendly and they are efficient in the way they take your order and send it to the kitchen to be made.
You can see your gozleme being freshly made through the open kitchen while you wait which is so awesome!
There's seating available within their section of the food court, however as my parents are ordering from other stores that day we decide to sit in the general public food court seating with them.
Absolutely love the cute and quirky boxes the gozlemes come in! As mentioned before there is a generous amount of lemon wedges, probably much more than you will need. The gozlemes are a great size to fill you up just for lunch time.
Also not pictured but the water bottles are a rectangle shape and have the Gozleme Co stickers on them which I think is a really nice personalised touch.
Tenderised Beef w/ spinach, sauteed onions & feta cheese $10
The flat bread is warm and simultaneously soft and toasted. The fillings of this gozleme is really evenly spread so there is never a bite that doesn't have everything in it. The beef mince is just like the name says, very tender. It tastes somewhat hot and spicy and that's exactly what we love about it!
BBQ Chicken w/ mushroom and feta $10
Unfortunately this is the more disappointing sister to the tenderised beef gozleme. While the flat bread is consistent and good, the fillings are what lets this gozleme down. The bbq chicken is very dry and flavourless. It is completely overpowered by the taste of the feta cheese which no matter how much I like feta myself, was still very unpleasant. I feel like this could've benefitted from some sauce or spiciness. Anything to make the chicken stand out more, and less dry.
