Handcraft, Newtown

A coffee and cake review today! Handcraft in Newtown is the perfect cafe for making a pit stop as you are either entering or leaving the inner west suburb. Right outside its doors are the bus stop headed back into Sydney CBD... or for the little lazy me, the bus stop to travel a mere number of blocks back to university.

The cafe itself is very tiny and almost cramped on the inside as they also offer some seats and tables; all which are taken up by the USYD students with their laptops and coffees on the side. However for the most part, the cafe is pretty cool and trendy. Service is very quick and friendly, but as there was actually a queue when I visited no talk was made beyond the ordering point.

Friand

Really lovely, fresh and fragrant. I'm not sure if they outsource their baked goods or bake it in store but it's delicious nonetheless and I'm happy with it!

Iced Long Black $4

A favourite of mine lately.. just plain iced black coffee. No sugar. So strong and so refreshing. Handcraft's brew is really simple and satisfying and I absolutely adore the sticker on the plastic cups! It adds such a nice touch.

Overall I think that Handcraft is a great place to grab a coffee in Newtown as they have a great range of drinks which I didn't get to try out yet and also a food menu!

TL;DR:
Price: Average
Quality: Fresh, good
Service: Quick and friendly
Ambience: Small and cute
